Welcome.

Welcome to my blog. As this is my first entry, I think its best to start out with a little bit of background and the general gist of the blog itself. I'm a Computer Science major in the second semester of my senior year at a New York state school known more for its loopy students and visual arts program than for its computer science department. Right now is really a very anxiety provoking time for me, what with developing my senior project (a web application for visualizing and studying the musical trends involved with gentrification) and figuring out where I'm going to move after school is done and what exactly I'm going to do with my life. All of this is terrifying. However, it has occurred to me that everyone goes through all of this at some point in their life. My idea here is to chronicle my last semester and my leap into the real world. Growing up ain't easy.

Hopefully, in the coming months you'll hear about the ins and outs of developing what remains of my web application, the job hunt, and my decision of where I'm going to move after graduation (hopefully not back in with my parents). My belief is that in writing about all of this, I'll help to relieve some of my own anxiety, maybe get a little support and sympathy, and provide some sort of entertainment.
